Paying Bills With a Credit Card |
Do you have bills on your library account that you'd like to pay, but can't make it to your local branch in person? You are now able to pay for your library bills online using a credit card.
To protect your privacy, the bill payment process will log you out of your account automatically after you have finished paying your bills. You may want to renew items, manage holds, and take care of other account-related actions before paying bills online, so that you don't need to log in again. |

Frequently Asked Questions |
Can I pay for overdue fines on items that I haven't returned to the library yet?
No, you can only pay for items that have already finished accruing fines, such as an overdue book that you have already returned to the library.
Do I have to pay all my bills at once, or can I choose to pay some and not others?
If you don't want to pay for all of your bills at once, you can select which ones you want to pay. After logging into your account, click on "Pay With Credit Card", then use the checkboxes next to the list of bills to pick which ones you want to pay.
After I select some bills to pay and try to continue to the secure payment form, I see a popup message stating that my balance will still be over $5 and asking if I want to continue. Do I have to choose more bills to pay?
No, you don't have to choose more bills - you can click "Yes" to continue to pay the bills that you have already chosen. The popup message is just to let you know that if you bring your total balance below $5, your full borrowing privileges will be restored. If you decide that you do want to pay more bills to bring your balance below $5, then click "No" in the popup message. You will then be able to choose additional bills to pay before continuing.
Should I provide my email address with my billing information?
We recommend that you provide your email address on the credit card form. This will enable us to email you a confirmation of your payment, along with a detailed receipt. Please note: If you need to request a refund in the future, you will be required to produce this detailed receipt as evidence of payment.
Should I print out the receipt I see after my payment is approved?
We recommend that you print your receipt for your records if you have access to a printer, especially if you did not provide an email address when filling out the credit card form. Please note: If you need to request a refund in the future, you will be required to produce this detailed receipt as evidence of payment.
My credit card was declined. What should I do?
Please contact your credit card company to find out why your card is being declined. If there is a problem with your card, you won't be able to pay bills online - but you can still make a payment in person at any library branch. |
