The Wagner Free Institute of Science Presents the World Around You
This is a series of programs that teach us about the world that surrounds us. Join Ms. Sabrina Fecher of The Wagner Free Institute of Science and learn about the fascinating animals and patterns that keep our planet alive. All programs are designed for children in grades 1 – 6. Families are encouraged to attend. Our upcoming programs will be:
• Dinosaurs & Fossils: Learn how fossils reveal clues about the past. Distinguish between dinosaur facts and fiction. Examine and touch ancient plant and shell fossils.

• Rocks & Minerals: What is the difference between a rock and a mineral? We will discuss the three rock types and explore some special and unusual properties of different minerals.
Wednesday | November 4 | 4:00 p.m.
• Insects & Other Arthropods: Come learn more about the mysterious world of insects, spiders, millipedes, and more, from their fascinating life-cycles to the ways they improve our lives.
Wednesday | December 2 | 4:00 p.m.
• Birds: From nests and beaks to feathers and feet, this lesson explores the features and behaviors that make birds so unique.
