Join Karen Smith and the Free Library's Music Department for a third season of percussion and drum workshops every first Saturday of the month! The series opens with a special Black History program featuring master hand drummer Pape Demba Samb on February 1st!
Program begins at 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM, but pop in anytime! Musicians at any skill level are welcome and encouraged.
Karen Smith is lead percussionist and artistic director for Weez the Peeples Collective & Sistahs Laying Down Hands. Her play Where are the Tubmans? premiered at Rowan University in March 2018.
