The Rosenthal Collection of Drawings by American Artists was gradually donated by Albert Rosenthal beginning in 1927. Containing 846 drawings by artists of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the collection is made up largely of the work of illustrators such as C. E. H. Bonwill, Louis M. Glackens and Edward H. Potthast. You can also view many studies for paintings and larger works by artists such as John Singleton Copley, Winslow Homer, Thomas Sully, John Trumbull and Benjamin West.
