Winter 2012 Tutor Training

“Together, we can share our time, energy, and expertise to make positive changes in our city. As volunteers, we can support the efforts of City government, champion the work of Philadelphia’s extraordinary non-profit organizations and follow the example of service set by generations of Philadelphians.” - Michael Nutter, Mayor

The Mayor's Commission on Literacy believes strongly that training volunteers to become adult literacy tutors is very much our work.  Any volunteer eighteen years of age or older who has at least a high school diploma or its equivalent is welcome to attend our tutor trainings.

Please note:  Completion of our Basic tutor training is a prerequisite to register for all other trainings.

You can register online here for our upcoming tutor trainings. Space is limited, and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
