The Technology Learning Collaborative (TLC), an association of service organizations from throughout Philadelphia committed to leveraging technology resources to reduce poverty, improve public health, decrease homelessness, mobilize through media, and prepare individuals and communities to be more employable, will be holding its 4th annual technology conference at Parkway Central library this Friday, October 21.
The theme for this year's conference is Click-Engage-Involve: A Conference on Civic Engagement & Technology.
In this election year, TLC wants to demonstrate how technology and digital literacy play in civic engagement at the local, state, and national level. They have curated a great group of panelists and workshops focusing on:
Some of the panelists and presenters will include Kelli Klein, former Digital Director of Communications at the DNC; Jessa Lingel, Assistant Professor of Communication at University of Pennsylvania; Gretjen Clausing, Executive Director of PhillyCAM; representatives from TurboVote, Philadelphia Works, Food Connect, KEYSPOT, and many others.
