The Tahini Table: Virtual Author Event & Cook-along
Virtual
Let's go "beyond hummus" and make delicious recipes starring tahini!
Join Amy Zitelman, the Philadelphia-based CEO of Soom and co-author of The Tahini Table, for a virtual author event and cook-along! Most people familiar with tahini think of it as simply one of the building blocks of hummus, but with The Tahini Table, Zitelman stretches the culinary borders of tahini beyond traditional Middle-Eastern fare, showcasing the ingredient’s wide range of potential uses. In addition to "talking tahini", Zitelman will be teaching participants how to make a delicious Maple Tahini Granola and Tahini Sugar Cookies.
Tickets for the program are $30 per household and include a copy of Zitelman's gorgeous new book, The Tahini Table. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite. Participants will receive a grocery and equipment list a week prior, for those who would like to cook along.
Free tickets available for SNAP eligible families and for anyone who cannot afford the fee right now but would still like to participate. Please email kitchen@freelibrary.org for more information.
