Virtual Sundays on Stage: Voice of the People: A History of American Folk Music by Dave Fry
Sun, March 21, 2021 2:00 P.M.
Folk Music has had a vital role throughout American History, creating community through song, story, and dance. This interactive and entertaining musical experience explores the rich history of folk music, from a few traditional favorites to good old rock and roll, playground songs, and jump rope games and dances. Musician Dave Fry makes this distinctly American music a creative, contemporary, and accessible art form, with everyone dancing and singing in the end.
This program will take place via Facebook Live on the Youth Services and Programs Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/FLPYouthServices/) and video will be available for 5 days.
The Sundays on Stage series is made possible by funding from the Philadelphia City Institute Board of Managers.
