About the author: Stacey Woodson, MS, RD, LDN is a dietitian-nutritionist and entrepreneur. She is a counselor, speaker, and author on the topics of nutrition and wellness. She loves teaching children about healthy eating and introducing them to new foods. She also has a passion for representing and affirming children of color through her work. Stacey enjoys gardening, foraging, yoga, and spending time in nature. Delicious and Nutritious: The Princess of Picky Eating Tries New Foods is the first book in her series. It was inspired by and loosely based on her children. Stacey lives in Philadelphia, PA with her husband, three children, and her cat.
About the book: Stubborn but sweet Sloane will only eat foods beginning with the letter 'B': butter, beans, and blue corn chips. Children will love learning basic nutrition facts while finding out why Sloane started eating delicious new foods. This tale talks about foods from far across the globe that have to be delicious and nutritious, otherwise the Princess of Picky Eating wouldn't even try them! This nourishing story is for anyone looking to instill the importance of healthy eating into the children in their life. This multicultural book is also perfect for anyone looking to add diverse stories to their classroom, office lobby, or local and home libraries.
Shakespeare Park is located on the Parkway, directly across the street from the Parkway Central Library at 1901 Vine Street.
