Come read books about the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and learn how he changed a nation using his greatest tool, his words! Decorate a Peace Dove and write a word that reminds you of Dr. King. All doves can be hung up for display on the Children’s Department “Powerful Word” board. This program is intended for children ages 12 and under and their families.
You can visit the Martin Luther King Literacy Station in the Children's Department, Monday through Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
