Getting to Know Me: Ayesha
Bustleton Library
Please join us in exploring Ayesha’s Trunk. Ayesha is a fictional indigenous Muslim, born and raised in West Philadelphia, and she has a trunk filled with items that are part of her life and culture. Shahadah Abdul-Rashid who selected these objects will talk about them with participants in this hands-on activity. The trunk will remain available at the library until July 22 following the presentation. A helpful object guide is included, which explains what these objects are and how they connect to Ayesha.
Getting to Know Me: Ayesha is part of the In the Path of Islam brought to you by The Free Library of Philadelphia and The Building Bridges Program of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art. Click here to browse a calendar of events. or contact us at pathofislam@freelibrary.org
