The Story of Ona Judge
Oak Lane Library
Dig into the story of Ona Judge, a woman who escaped enslavement from the home of President George Washington. Learn how she escaped, where she went, and decide if you would have made the same choices that she did in her steps toward freedom.
This program - Revolution at the Library - is a partnership with the library and the Museum of the American Revolution. Aimed for children ages 6 - 11 and their families, this program features fun and curiosity-provoking object, document, and story-based activities that will bring people and events of the American Revolution to life. Museum experts will lead this program. Families who attend will then be able to visit the museum for FREE on a library bus trip (July 30).
