This 8-week series offers an introduction to the practice of yoga appropriate for the brand new beginner. Participants will learn:
- mindful breath practices to sooth the nervous system and focus the mind
- traditional yoga postures to increase physical strength and flexibility
- proper use of yoga props and accessible variations of yoga postures, and
- a basic understanding of the benefits of yoga.
This series is gently paced, and compassionately led with step-by-step instructions and time for questions, reflection and feedback. Classes may include seated, standing, reclined and hands and knees postures.
If you have been curious about yoga, but unsure where to begin, this series will provide the perfect entry point to what may become a lifelong practice.
