Celebrate Arts and Aging! Live Demonstration
First Floor Gallery West at Parkway Central Library
In conjunction with Older Americans Month in May, join Philadelphia-area artists whose work is featured in the Celebrate Arts and Aging exhibit for FREE in-person demonstrations in the West Gallery One Alcove located just off the main lobby. Each live demonstration will feature one or more artistic techniques, with artists describing their process and engaging visitors; an accompanying book display featuring relevant circulating materials from the Free Library’s vast collections will be available for you to browse or borrow. Come be inspired as we embrace lifelong learning and creativity!
Today's demonstration features Leeannwyn Stoner, a working artist and fine arts instructor whose work focuses on drawing as the basis of all creative arts. Join Stoner to better understand her process of abstracting a subject or feeling into artwork. She will work with subject matter through sketching and then light acrylic painting onto wood panel.
