Gibby's Joint: Women's History Month Performance
West Oak Lane Library
Gibby's Joint will join us for a performance in celebration of Women's History Month. They present jazz and pop standards through a folk lens, deconstrucing jazz standards down to their essential elements while upholding the integrity of each composition.
Today's program is From Billie to Beyoncé: A Celebration of Women in Popular Music and Culture Women’s Voices in Music. As vocalists, songwriters, and cultural icons, women have deeply influenced popular culture. This set highlights powerful songs by female artists and explores their impact.
This program is provided by the American Federation of Musicians Local 77, and the Music Performance Fund.
