Jhumpa Lahiri crafts elegant prose about identity, exile, and the Indian immigrant experience. Her debut collection of short stories, Interpreter of Maladies, was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for fiction and the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award, and her 2003 novel The Namesake was adapted into a critically acclaimed film by Mira Nair. Lahiri’s new short story collection follows characters from Cambridge and Seattle to India and Thailand.
