Arsenic and Old Lakes: An Environmental Tale

In June of 1983 an unlined wastewater lagoon at an arsenical pesticide manufacturing plant in New Jersey collapsed into the Maurice River transporting tons of arsenic downstream. Thomas Belton, EPA scientist and author of Protecting New Jersey's Environment discusses the disaster and the long term impact on the environmental safety of the Delaware Valley.
