Shakespeare for All Time

Now through Sat, July 5, 2014 5:00 P.M.
Rare Book Department at Parkway Central Library

An Exhibition in the WIlliam B. Dietrich Gallery

In his dedication to the First Folio Ben Jonson writes of his fellow playwright, “He was not of an age, but for all time.” Shakespeare employed the English language like no other, and his comedies, histories, and tragedies continue to be read, performed, and celebrated today. This exhibition, in honor of the 450th birthday of The Bard, will feature Shakespeare's First Folio—one of the rarest books in existence—and will include editions of his plays, and artwork inspired by them.

The Rare Book Department is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with tours of the general collections at 11:00 a.m.
