Author Talk: Kenneth Finkel

Wed, January 30, 2019 6:30 P.M.
Philadelphia City Institute

Author Kenneth Finkel will present his book Insight Philadelphia: Historical Essays Illustrated. Each of the nearly 100 essays in Insight Philadelphia tells a succinct, compelling, and little-known tale of the city’s past. Lavishly illustrated with archival images, these stories bring to life histories that range from quirky to tragic, and give readers fascinating new insights into the City of Brotherly Love.

Kenneth Finkel is a professor of history at Temple University in Philadelphia, and the author of nine books on Philadelphia.

This program is co-sponsored by Friends in the City (FitC) and the Philadelphia City Institute Library, and will be held in the meeting room on the library’s lower level. We regret there is no elevator.
