Magical Realism Print Salon

Sat, March 2, 2019 3:00 P.M. Add to your calendar
Philadelphia Museum of Art, Perelman Building, Abigail Rebecca Cohen Study Room of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs, 2525 Pennsylvania Ave.

*This event was originally scheduled for January 19. Due to weather, the new date is March 2.*

Explore the many connections to be found between images from the Prints, Drawings, and Photographs collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Jesmyn Ward's novel, Sing, Unburied, Sing. Works selected by curatorial fellows Sam Ewing, Clare Kobasa, and Jillian Kruse will prompt an informal discussion on the evocative power of the genre of magical realism. This free print salon will take place in the museum’s works-on-paper study room, usually only accessible by appointment. Click to register for this free event.
