In honor of Women's History Month we will be watching a portion of the film Sisters in Freedom: The Daring Battle to End Slavery. This film tells the story of the brave women, both black and white, who banded together to fight slavery for decades before the Emancipatoin Proclamation. This hour-long documentary includes a vibrant mix of historical reenactments, state-of-the-art graphics, experts, and compelling primary sources.

Following the short portion of the film, we'll have discussion and hands-on art activities which will be led by arts educator Valerie Anderson.

This program is sponsored in part by History Making Productions.
