Author Bill Double will present his book Philadelphia’s Washington Square and sign copies of the book, which will be available for purchase. This book recounts the fascinating history of Washington Square, which has played a prominent role in the growth and evolution of Philadelphia for more than 300 years.

Bill Double is a Philadelphia-based freelance writer and author of Charles E. Hires and the Drink That Wowed a Nation.

This program is co-sponsored by Friends in the City (FitC) and the Philadelphia City Institute Library. It will be held in the meeting room on the library’s lower level and we regret there is no elevator.
