Indian-ish with Priya Krishna
Mon, May 6, 2019 6:00 P.M.
Culinary Literacy Center at
Parkway Central Library
Cost: $30 single / $45 couple
Priya Krishna grew up eating a special kind of food. Born and Raised in Dallas, Texas by Indian immigrants, Priya’s mother Ritu cooked meals redolent of her Indian heritage, but infused with American ingredients that made for a specific kind of fusion cuisine that Priya lovingly classifies as Indian-ish. Inspired to catalog her mother’s recipes, Priya created Indian-ish, both a cookbook and an homage to her mother, filled with all of the recipes that Ritu created after moving to the United States and teaching herself to cook.
In this class, we'll dive into Indian-ish, with Matar Paneer, a dish that combines paneer with tomato sauce and cumin-studded peas.
Tickets for this class, available at freelibrarycook.eventbrite.com, include a copy of the book, to be signed by the author at the end of class.
