Thu, May 30, 2019 6:00 P.M.
Culinary Literacy Center at
Parkway Central Library
Cost: $30 single / $45 couple
Ronna Welsh has been a professional cook for over 20 years. She has worked as an executive chef, pastry chef, consulting chef, and recipe developer for Saveur, Whole Living Magazine, Bon Appetit Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, and many others. As the owner and founder of Purple Kale Kitchenworks, Ronna teaches people how to transform their kitchens into a creative, interactive space from which excellent food flows effortlessly.
Her book, Nimble Cook, gives readers strategies to make the most of their ingredients—whether it be the produce that’s in season at a local farmer’s market, or pantry items that have been collecting dust.
In this class, we'll celebrate summer by building a meal out of its flagship fruit: the watermelon.
Tickets include a book, to be signed by the author at the end of class, and can be purchased at freelibrarycook.eventbrite.com.
