A park in motion.
Whether active or at rest, our bodies and our movement enliven our interactions with Fairmount Park. In Motion, In Place captures and transforms this relationship with a series of inspiring performances in some of the park’s most beautiful settings. The roofs around Logan Circle, the grounds of an historic mansion, and the newly opened Discovery Center host three free works by a groundbreaking artist that will change the way you think about Philadelphia’s favorite outdoor spaces.
During the final week of September, the Fairmount Park Conservancy will host In Motion, In Place: Trisha Brown Dance Company, a series of free outdoor dance performances in various locations in Fairmount Park and along the rooftops of Logan Circle—including the rooftop terrace of the Parkway Central Library! Join us at the street level of Logan Circle on Tuesday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 25, at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to see this famous work of twentieth-century choreography. Free and open to the public.
In Motion, In Place: Trisha Brown Dance Company in Fairmount Park is supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
