Honey and Cheese: Local Pairings and Tastings
Wed, November 20, 2019 6:00 P.M.
Culinary Literacy Center
Parkway Central Library
Shorter days can signal a need for quicker meal preparation as well as seasonal gatherings among friends and family. In this co-taught class, a local cheesemaker and urban beekeeper explore the quintessential pairing of cheese and honey and trace its renaissance from ancient times to the present. Learn how to create simple yet elegant flavor combinations using some of our favorite cheeses and varietal honeys. Sample plates will feature honey harvested from the library’s beehives. Pre-registration is required; tickets are $20 per person and available via Eventbrite.
