ZAIKA: Vegan Recipes from India Talk and Taste with Chef Romy Gill

Join Chef Romy Gill on tour with her debut cookbook, ZAIKA. Participants will enjoy vegan tastings, including Khichdi prepared with Basmati rice and red lentils. Chef Gill will demonstrate chutney and kachumber salad recipes while sharing stories about her career as a restaurateur and food writer. Chef Gill, based in England, has made quite a name for herself, being appointed an MBE (Most Excellent Order) by the British Empire in 2016. Gill was the owner and executive chef of Romy’s Kitchen for many years and has appeared on several British television shows. Chef Gill will soon debut a new series of Ready Steady Cook for BBC One. With her new book and contributions as a food and travel writer to international publications, Chef Gill is now focused on bringing her cooking to a wider audience before opening another restaurant. Join us as we welcome Chef Gill to Philadelphia for this very special talk and taste event!
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $35 for admission including the book; pre-registeration is required via Eventbrite.
