Longtime nature writer Jennifer Ackerman is the bestselling author of The Genius of Birds, “a lyrical testimony to the wonders of avian intelligence” (Scientific American) that has been translated into 20 languages and was a finalist for the 2017 National Academies Communication Book Award. The recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a Bunting Fellowship, and a grant from the Alfred P.
