Theoretical physicist and mathematician Leonard Mlodinow is the author of several “delightfully entertaining” (Scientific American) bestselling books, including Subliminal: How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your BehaviorThe Drunkard’s Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives, and Elastic: Unlocking Your Brain’s Ability to Embrace Change. He also co-authored The Grand Design and A Briefer History of Time with Stephen Hawking. An Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the Max Planck Institute, Mlodinow has earned the PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award, has written two children’s books, and is widely known through a variety of public lectures and media appearances. His latest book combines analysis of human evolution and biology with vivid stories to offer resources to better understand how emotions can help or hurt us.
