Multi-talented artist Richard McGuire has written children’s books and experimental comics, has written and directed feature films, has designed and manufactured a line of toys, and is the bass player of the no-wave band Liquid Liquid. Originally published in 1989, his landmark strip Here is the story of a corner of a room and the events that happened in that space while moving forward and backward in time. His new book is the long-awaited fulfillment of his revolutionary comic vision.

The nightmarish trilogy that began in X'ed Out and continued in The Hive reaches its stunning, heartbreaking end, as Doug must deal with the lie he's been telling himself since the beginning. Best known for his masterwork, Black Hole—a multiple Harvey, Eisner, and Ignatz Award winner—Charles Burns has illustrated covers for Time, The New Yorker, and The Believer, and contributed to MTV’s Liquid Television series based on his character Dog-Boy.

“The closest thing to a rock star in graphic design” (USA Today), Chip Kidd has transformed the art of American book packaging with his inventive book cover designs for Alfred A. Knopf, where he has worked since 1986. He is the author of several books, including The Cheese Monkeys, The Learners, and the bestselling children’s book Go: A Kidd’s Guide to Graphic Design. His new book is a playful look at the importance of first impressions.
