David Ebenbach is the author of the poetry collections Some Unimaginable Animal (2019), and We Were the People Who Moved (2015). His other books include The Artist’s Torah (2012), a nonfiction guide to creativity, and the novel Miss Portland (2017). He teaches creative writing and literature at Georgetown University in the Center for Jewish Civilization; and at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship, promoting student-centered teaching. His poetry has appeared in Thrush Poetry Journal, Agni, Beloit Poetry Journal, Boxcar Poetry Review, Subtropics, The 2River View, and other magazines and journals.
Shane McCrae is the author of several poetry collections including Mule (2011), Blood (2013), The Animal Too Big to Kill (2015), In the Language of My Captor (2017), which was a finalist for the National Book Award, and Gilded Auction Block (2019). His work has also been featured in The Best American Poetry 2010, edited by Amy Gerstler; and his honors included a Whiting Writers’ Award and a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. He teaches at Columbia University. His work has been in many journals and magazines including Poetry, American Poetry Review, Agni, African American Review, and Fence.
