The Experience Pass allows Free Library cardholders to check out free digital passes to cultural institutions and other attractions in the Philadelphia area. From science centers and botanical gardens to art museums and historical sites, the Experience Pass has something for everyone!

How It Works

Philadelphians ages 18 and above can use their Free Library cards to check out free digital passes to attractions and experiences around the city. Cardholders can book passes through freelibrary.org, print or save their passes to a mobile device, and visit their attraction on a specific date and time.

About the Experience Pass

With the Experience Pass, the Free Library is expanding our collection to provide entry to museums and other attractions through your library card! Cardholders can use their library card to check out free digital passes to cultural treasures and electrifying events throughout Philadelphia. This program is designed to increase Philadelphia residents' access to our wonderful city and to expand the capacity of the Library to advance literacy, guide learning, and inspire curiosity.

Get a Library Card

Apply for a library card online or apply for a library cardin person at one of our neighborhood locations. A Free Library card is available at no cost to anyone who lives, works, pays taxes, or goes to school in the City of Philadelphia, as well as anyone who lives in the state of Pennsylvania. However, please note that Experience Pass is currently available for cardholding residents of Philadelphia only.
