Mushroom Mania
Parkway Central Library
In this exciting class led by the team at Food Nerd Jr. we will be unearthing a mushroom exploration! Did you know mushrooms have been eaten in Europe, Russia, China and Japan for thousands of years? .
In this fun workshop open to children going into Grades 2-3, children will spend time participating in hands on activities that will encourage them to explore the vast world of mushrooms and mycology. They will learn about mushroom varieties, how they grow, and spend time with a guest forager. Kids will get to create their own journal to take home with them. We will even be making mushroom ice cream!
