Marketing/Digital Content Intern: Part-time Temporary

The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation is seeking a summer intern to assist with our Marketing/Social Media efforts. The role will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the design and execution of social media campaigns.
  • Creating weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites.
  • Creating and distributing content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets.
  • Tracking social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns.
  • Providing suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms.
  • Responding to comments and DMs on social media platforms.
  • Brainstorming and research ideas for original content.
  • Developing new strategies for increasing engagement.
  • Handling inbound requests from vendors, brokers, partners, customers, and clients.
  • Completing projects related to branding, content creation, and social media marketing.
  • Supporting the team in daily administrative tasks.
  • Additional responsibilities include fostering a culture of philanthropy mindset, actively engaging in fundraising efforts organized or attended by staff, and promoting the organization's mission and values in and outside the organization including but not limited to supporting the mission of the Foundation by promoting membership and promoting and attending events when appropriate.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Effective project and time management skills
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks, meet objectives, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Experience or familiarity with Google Enterprise, Canva, and social media sites including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

Benefits: Flexible schedule

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Philadelphia, PA 19103
