SIGN UP FOR HEALTHCARE WITH THE HELP OF THE FREE LIBRARY

PHILADELPHIA, November 1, 2016—The Free Library of Philadelphia is again pleased to help individuals sign up for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act by offering free appointments with assisters during the Marketplace Open Enrollment period from November 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017. Federally funded expert navigators and assisters will provide guidance at several libraries throughout the city; these locations were chosen based on current information on the insurance needs within Philadelphia. Counselors will also be able to assist consumers who qualify for Medicaid.

This year, the Free Library is partnering with three federally funded health agencies that will provide this service in Philadelphia: Cognosante, the Health Federation of Philadelphia, and Pennsylvania Health Access Network.

“The Free Library understands that healthy individuals lead to healthy communities, and we are pleased to help facilitate the process of getting people covered,” said Siobhan A. Reardon, President and Director.
