Editor's Note: This post was originally published November 21, 2022. The workaround explained below should no longer be necessary as online access to the New York Times has been restored.
Access to both New York Times at the Library and New York Times Anywhere databases are currently unavailable. We hope to have these services restored before the end of 2022. In the meantime, we ask that our patrons use the following workaround:
Access to the text version of the New York Times is still available by accessing our General OneFile database.
- You can find the link on our A-Z databases page under "G". Remote users will need their FLP library card number and PIN to access General OneFile.
- Once in General OneFile, click on the "Go to Publication Search" button (lower right of the page)
- Enter "The New York Times" in the search field and select “The New York Times” from the result list to access full-text coverage from January 1, 1985 - Present.
Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the inconvenience.
