New Tomi Ungerer Exhibit

By Adrienne P. RSS Tue, December 14, 2010

We are very happy to announce that a new exhibit featuring the work of children's book author and illustrator Tomi Ungerer has just been installed on the ground floor of the Parkway Central Library, outside of the Children's Department! Focusing on his early work, such as The Mellops series, Emile, Crictor, and Adelaide, and on subversive classics like Moon Man, The Three Robbers, Rufus, and Zeralda's Ogre, the exhibit features work from the Tomi Ungerer papers held by Children's Literature Research Collection. Donated by Mr. Ungerer in 1968, this collection includes original artwork and manuscripts for the majority of his early children's books. The collection also contains rare unpublished works, which you can see on display in this new exhibit through March 2011!
