Summer at the Free Library and more Free Library in the News: June 29 - July 3, 2014
By Samantha M. Thu, July 2, 2015Top press mention of the week: 58 free things to do with kids in Philadelphia 2015 from Newsworks.org
It's no wonder that the Free Library of Philadelphia features prominently in this list of 58 free things to do with kids in Philadelphia. Not only can you bask in the air conditioning at one of our many neighborhood library locations, but you can also participate in any of our countless engaging, educational programs! One of the programs highlighted in the article is Science in the Summer, which, in partnership with GSK and The Franklin Institute, offers hands-on science workshops to children in grades 2 through 6. Additionally, our summer reading program, the Summer of Wonder, got a shout-out, as it consists of weekly activities, events, and prizes. Get involved with these programs and even more all summer long at the Library!
