Outside Sound - a 2015 Fringe Festival performance @ the Free Library

By Adam F. RSS Wed, August 5, 2015

In conjunction with the 2015 Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Music Department at the Parkway Central Library will present a unique music performance and visual-art gallery project called Outside Sound.

Outside Sound is the result of years of intimate collaboration between composer Chris Coyle and adult visual artists living with disabilities. Audiences will encounter artwork made by local artists (working with the Center for Creative Works and SpArc Philadelphia) set to a vivid and lush soundtrack responding to the art work, performed by Coyle and his live band.

Selected artwork from the art programs will be on display in the Music Department for several days before and after the main event on Wednesday, September 16, at 6:30 pm. On the day of the concert performance, there will be an art exhibition and meet-and-greet before and after the performance.

Free tickets to the performance in Montgomery Auditorium at the Free Library of Philadelphia are available from the Fringe Festival.
