Would you like to work for one of the largest urban library systems in America?
The Free Library of Philadelphia circulates more than eight million items to almost 500,000 patrons and conducts thousands of programs for people of all ages every year. We recognize that only a dedicated staff could make these achievements possible.
We are currently hiring After-School Leaders (ASLs) for 2023–2024. ASLs work with library staff to provide mentoring, interactive programming, technology support, and homework help for youth at libraries during the out-of-school time hours. This is part-time, seasonal temporary work, beginning in late August and running through early June. Hiring will be ongoing until all positions are filled.
The pay rate is $22.60 per hour, 20 hours per week, and the hours are generally 2–6 p.m., Monday–Thursday, and 2–5 p.m., Friday. It is possible that Saturday hours will arise. All applicants must reside in Philadelphia.
To apply, please view the full requirements and complete job description on our website, and email your resume to LEAPhiring@freelibrary.org. Good luck!
