It’s almost time to bundle up warm and join the Free Library for festive storytimes at the Christmas Village in LOVE Park!
Every year, LOVE Park is transformed into an authentic German-style outdoor holiday market, presented by Bank of America. With sparkling lights, delicious food, hot beverages, and unique vendors, there’s warmth and cheer for everyone. This year, the market will be open between November 23 and Christmas Eve (December 24) and boasts attractions like the beautiful double-decker carousel at City Hall, a Ferris wheel, a classic children’s train presented by SEPTA, and of course, Santa!

Holiday Storytimes at Neighborhood Libraries
If you can’t make it to the Christmas Village, the Free Library has seasonal events across the city! On Saturday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m., visit Joseph E. Coleman Library to learn all about Kwanzaa with Philadelphia’s Afrocentric Storytelling Group, Keepers of the Culture. Throughout the season, bring your friends and family to neighborhood Free Library events in celebration of Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and the holiday season.
The Nutcracker at Parkway Central Library
Pages to Pirouettes will bring their beloved performance of The Nutcracker back to the Montgomery Auditorium on Sunday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m.! Come early to grab a seat and meet the Christmas Village mascot, Phil the Reindeer, who will be handing out free hot chocolate vouchers for the Christmas Village! Like in years past, Pages to Pirouettes will give the audience a brief ballet lesson following their performance and hold a raffle for a large Nutcracker.
We hope to see you this holiday season!
