MP3 Audiobooks Now Available for Download

The Free Library is pleased to announce a new addition to our Downloadable Media options: MP3 formatted audiobooks are now available for checkout! 

This collection includes many classics as well as language learning and career building titles.  Listen to modern fantasy from Christine Feehan as well as old favorites from David Eddings. 

MP3 Audiobooks can be transferred to a wide range of devices, including the iPod®, iPhone™, and the iPod Touch! Enjoy spoken word audio, anytime, anywhere.

Not all titles are yet available as MP3s.  Publishers designate the formats allowed for their titles as they are released.  Please also note that this service is not yet compatible with Mac computers. 

Go to our main page and click on "Downloadable Media" in the green Explore box to browse these new titles.

Wow, audiobooks have been one of the greatest items this decade. I usually load them on my PDA and listen to them on my long trips on the road when there aren't any 'good' radio stations available. Looking for an audio book on how to in this bad market we're in. -David G.

Audiobooks are the wave of the future. I download many podcasts and other audio that I find from the internet and put it on my iPod. While driving to work through traffic in the morning I give it a listen, as I have about an hour drive. So I can definately see this taking off.

Audio books are fantastic especially when driving on a long trip or doing long and tedious work around the office. They are a great way to lose yourself and make time go by quickly.
