QURAN TEEN: A Free Library of Philadelphia Virtual Event

Ramadan Mubarak! It is our honor to invite you to participate in QURAN TEEN an online experience organized by the Free Library of Philadelphia. This event is meant to inspire us all during the Covid-19 crisis with an enlightening talk by a local imam, a presentation of historic handwritten Qurans in the Free Library, concluding with a melodic and heart warming recitation from the Quran.
The presenters will include:
- Shahadah Abdul-Rashid, Community Initiatives Specialist of the Free Library of Philadelphia will greet and introduce everyone.
- Assistant Imam Hudhaifah AbdulHayy will speak on how the Quran inspires us all during this time of crisis.
- Joseph Shemtov, Special Collections Outreach Specialist will present a slide show featuring highlights of the Islamic Collection of the Free Library.
- Abdullah Ibn Hanif, 16 year old Philadelphian and keynote participant will recite selected passages from the Quran.
