An acclaimed activist, media creator, and research consultant, Alice Wong is the founder and director of the Disability Visibility Project, an online community that is dedicated to making and sharing disability media content and culture, including an eponymous popular podcast that Wong hosts. She is also the editor of Resistance and Hope: Essays by Disabled People, was appointed by President Obama to the National Council on Disability, and has been published in the New York Times and Vox, among other places. In Disability Visibility, Wong ties together a necessary, rousing collection of essays by disabled people.
Maysoon Zayid is an actress, comedian, writer, and disability advocate. She is the co-founder and co-executive producer of the New York Arab American Comedy Festival and was a headliner on the Arabs Gone Wild Comedy Tour. She is also a contributor to Disability Visability.
