Special after-hours event: Democracy in Danger?
Senior Services at Parkway Central Library
The Free Library is convening a panel of four of Philadelphia’s best informed and most thoughtful community leaders to discuss, debate, and analyze one key idea: Is our democracy in danger?
Panel members will include:
- William Marrazzo, the President & CEO of region’s leading PBS and NPR affiliate, WHYY, the home of Channel 12 and 91FM.
- Al Schmidt, President of the Committee of 70, a non-partisan, community based organization dedicated to political transparency, good government and political reform.
- James Greenwood, a former President of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, He served six terms as a Republican Congressman from Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District, which is based in suburban Bucks County.
- Julia Terruso, a journalist with ten years of experience, who covers Pennsylvania politics for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
This program will be presented live in the 4th Floor Skyline Room of the Parkway Central Library on Thursday, October 27th at 7:00 P.M. With light refreshments served at 6:00 pm, all are invited to attend this free program, but please reserve free tickets on Eventbrite to confirm your attendance.
