Latin Dance Classes: Beginner Reggaeton
Music Department at Parkway Central Library
Back by popular demand! Urban Movement Arts returns to the Free Library of Philadelphia to offer a series of dance classes. For the Spring, we're having Salsa, Bachata, and Reggaeton classes. Our final class is Beginner Reggaeton with Laurel!
Reggaeton Dance is danced to the genre of music Reggaeton which is a blend of Hip Hop, Latin and Caribbean music. For me this style is the perfect combination of Hip Hop grooves and Latin dance body movement. It is a fun, sexy, free - spirited style.
This class is open to all levels of dancers (even those new to dance). My Reggaeton class is heavy on body movement, Isolations, drills and choreography.
This style is a perfect compliment to Salsa and Bachata as it will help you loosen up and move your body. It is a high energy class; you will sweat a lot and feel worked! (Librarian recommendation: take things at your own pace and don't feel pressured to do more than you are comfortable with! Also, hydrate a lot!)
Time: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Skyline Room, 4th Floor, Parkway Central Library
Reservation: Reserve your space using our Eventbrite!
Recommendations: Wear loose-fitting/comfy clothes, sneakers, and bring your own water (and a towel if you think you'll need one). We do not have a changing room, and the closest water fountain is on the first floor.
