Nonprofit Budget Best Practices

This program will discuss best practices for creating a budget for you nonprofit organization. We’ll talk about both operating and program budgets and provide examples of both. We will cover what you should consider when creating a budget such as: project type, type of budget, data and program needs, and accuracy. Financial statements and compliance and standards will also be discussed. Participates will walk away with templates and tips to help them create a budget that fits the needs of their nonprofit.
About the Presenter
Chanell Hanns is Founder and Principal of JK Consulting, LLC. The company combines her passions of community service, finance, and operations management to maximize community impact and services. Chanell is an experienced finance and operations professional. She holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Economics, a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Master’s Certificate in Six Sigma –Financial Services. She has more than a decade of management and leadership experience in financial operations at both public and private organizations. She believes that operations efficiency is a for-profit idea that must be adopted by the nonprofit sector for true success and maximum impact.
