Models Compete for $65,000 in Awards

DETROIT, MICH---Judging of model automobiles from Philadelphia, Pa., gets under way in General Motors Building to select winners in 1950 Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild competition. Shown here, left to right, are Paul Gillan, GM Styling Section, Claude Reagan, Guild technical director, and Frank Riess, vocational arts instructor, Detroit Public Schools, checking a model automobile, one of the many hundreds competing for the $65,000 in awards. National winners will be awarded university scholarships at the annual Guild banquet in Detroit August 15.
