Title: Driver 'sit-down' on PA Turnpike

Notes:
NY7--4/6/48--Carlisle, PA.--Trailer-trucks line the Pennsylvania Turnpike for as
far as the eye can see in this airview looking west from here 4/5. A thousand
vehicles were lined up bumper-to-bumper on this toll highway as drivers staged
a sit-down protest against state law fixing the maximum weight at 45,000 pounds
for trucks and pay load. Drivers say some trucks alone weigh 25,000 pounds and
that the low maximum weight would prevent them from making "an honest living
under the law."
