May 28th--Britons "Fill 'Em Up" Once more- London motorists line up at a local gas station as they await the official signal ending Britain's gasoline rationing program after an 11-year drought. Minister of Fuel Philip Noel-Baker announced the good news after two American oil companies--Standard Oil of New Jersey and California Texas Oil Co.-- had agreed to accept sterling in place of dollars for their products. Previous restrictions had limited English motorists to 90 miles of pleasure driving monthly. 1950.
